With such a large state and such a large presence of MI in all 3 COMPOs it didn’t make sense there wasn’t an overarching MICA Chapter in the state. With COMPO1 and COMPO 3 your next assignment could be anywhere but with COMPO 2 your next assignment is normally within the same state. That means you don’t need to change chapters when going to another assignment. After several months of research and getting opinions from our fellow MI Professionals we finally submitted the paperwork to MICA National to have a new chapter called “Lone Star” created.
On August 9, 2022 the MICA National board approved our request and the “Lone Star” chapter was born. Thank you to everyone that supported this effort and we look forward to building a long and prosperous chapter with all 3 COMPOs represented.
